Welcome to the second round of M(art)ch Madness 2015, where your votes decide the greatest artist of the 20th century! (Really.)
Round 1 saw some big upsets, with the biggest coming in the Los Angeles Regional. No. 3 seed Kasimir Malevich was ousted by No. 14 seed Jean-Michel Basquiat and Man Ray, a No. 11 seed, destroyed No. 6 Ellsworth Kelly, grabbing 81 percent of the votes. Ray is now the last photographer still in the tournament.
Also out are higher seeds Diane Arbus (losing to Rene Magritte) and Amedeo Modigliani, who lost a squeaker to Joseph Cornell. Jackson Pollock, the top seed in the New York Regional, narrowly averted a huge upset bid by No. 16 Frida Kahlo, with just 50.6 percent of the votes (or just 3 votes). Remember, your votes matter!

If this whole exercise seems slightly ridiculous, you’re not alone. But here are some FAQs that might help it make sense.
And now on to the second round. Vote using any criteria that makes sense to you. But vote!
